Paxton middle school recently participated in a Battle of the Books contest. The students had to read 5 chapter books or 6 novels and pass an AR test to qualify for the team. The books were all Golden Sower nominees for the 2021 year. Paxton competed against Hyannis, Perkins County, Brady, Sutherland and Wallace.
In the Novel category: 1st place went to Hyannis; 2nd place went to Brady; and 3rd place went to Paxton.
In the Chapter Books category: 1st place went to Perkins County; 2nd place went to Hyannis; and 3rd place went to Brady
Honors Night 2021 will take place @ Paxton School from 6-6:30 PM for gr 6-8 and 6:30-7:45 PM for gr 9-12 on May 11th! No meal will be served this year. Please help us celebrate all the accomplishments of our awesome Paxton students this year at Honors Night Tuesday, May 11, 2021!

Paxton will not be attending the JH Track Meet @ Benkelman this year. Due to weather, it was moved from May 10th to May 13th, which is our last day of school, so we won't be able to attend. We are very proud of our Jr. High Track Team's success this year! Go Tigers!

Sandhills P/T will be offering a SPEED Camp for those students who will be in grades 7 - 12 for the upcoming school year. Camp will be on Mondays & Wednesdays beginning on July 7 and end on August 9. Forms are available in the office.

Happy Arbor Day! The Kindergartners, and the 3rd Graders, worked together with members of the Ogallala Tree Board today to plant a Triumph Elm near our brand new Agriculture Building. GO TIGERS!!!
Congratulations to Paxton FPS Coach Tara Peters and her Paxton FPS team of Ashleigh Jay, Ally Jay, Haylee Erpelding, and Katie Fricke & Alternate Alex Fricke received 5th place at VirtualState FPS Bowl 2021! Ashleigh Jay also won the FPS Scholarship!
Paxton will be hosting the 2021 RPAC Track and Field Championships. Field events begin at 9:30, with running events to follow. Only RPAC and NSAA passes will be accepted. Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for K-12 students.
The Red Cross Blood Drive is going on today at the school!! We have openings until about 1:15 pm. Give us a call or walk on in!!! Donations are needed to help save lives! Organized by the National Honor Society members.
