The Paxton Jr-Sr High Band performed @ the Ogallala Indian Marching Festival 10-10-2020! So proud of these students led by Band Instructor Tara Peters and Drum Major Eben Rosentrater! Other schools who also competed were Hershey, McCook, Ogallala & Scottsbluff. Go Tigers!

Paxton Prowlers Dance team will be holding a hat, gloves, and scarves drive for their community service project. There will be a drop off box at Hehnke's starting Monday, October 12 and a drop off box at the concessions for Thursday games, October 15th. Thank you!

The Paxton Tiger Cross Country Team, Coach Lindsey Jorgensen and Assistant Coach Tyler Cassell represented Paxton well at the RPAC Cross Country Meet Oct. 8, 2020! Adrian defended her title, winning the girls championship! Damin placed 3rd and Jacob finished 16th! Great job!

Congratulations to Adrian for her winning her second consecutive RPAC Championship today @ the Cambridge Cross Creek Golf Course! Adrian is a champion in every sense of the word. Good luck at Districts in Bridgeport next Thursday!


Paxton band parents and fans - here is the current schedule for the Ogallala Indian Marching Festival on Saturday. The parade route will actually be two laps around the Ogallala High School track. There will be assigned seating for the fans of each school.


Thank you to Leah Fote for meeting with our environmental science students to discuss her organic aronia berries! The students gained insight into the process and requirements of being organic certified and how that differs from conventional farming.


Paxton NHS members will be hosting the Community Blood Drive on Tuesday, October 20 from 9:30 am - 3:30 pm. You may contact any NHS member, Mrs. Spencer at jean.spencer@paxtonschools.org, or use your Blood Donor app to schedule an appointment. Senior NHS members have the opportunity to earn scholarship money through this service project.
Senior members include: Adrian Eakins, Makayla Jenkins, Stacie Green, Ashleigh Jay, Eben Rosentrater, Dane Storer, Jared Fox, Remington Schimonitz and Keegan Schow.

Our high school science students got the opportunity to Skype a Scientist. We met with Stijn De Baerdemacker, a professor from the University of New Brunswick. He has research expertise in quantum physics, chemistry, and computing. Through our discussion, students got a better idea of what a scientist actually does. Stijn also emphasized that it doesn't matter where you come from, having a curious and questioning mind is what it takes to become a scientist!
