The 6th graders are writing commerical jingles for new products they have invented.

The road to Omaha Burke will stop in Paxton on Wednesday with the D-8 District Track Meet. Admission is $6 for Adults and $5 for Students. No passes will be accepted.


6th & 7th Grade Orientation


The Paxton JH Track and Field teams will wrap up their season on Monday at the RPAC West meet in Benkelman.


Tyson and Xavier finished their pillowcase in FACS class. Austin is holding a pillowcase made by Humberto.


7th grade boys wanted to try and make Japanese pancakes in FACS class. We experimented and they turned out amazing.


6th grade celebrated their efforts in completing a challenge of building their own coolers to keep an ice block frozen overnight. They enjoyed their very own personalized homemade pizzas and lots of laughter.

Madison Hansen is having a Baking Drive for the homeless shelter, next Friday, May 10 for her NHS project. Please consider bringing some baked goods to the school that she can deliver to the shelter that afternoon. Pans will not be returned, items can only be brought on Friday, May 10. Thank you for your help in this project.


The 8th graders got to practice finding textual evidence to support claims by investigating a mystery and then presenting their findings in our “classroom court of law.” They had the opportunity to be creative and have fun while also practicing essential ELA skills.

English III students wrapped up their novel study of The Great Gatsby with creative projects designed to foster engagement, creativity, research skills, and deeper understanding of literary techniques. Projects included research reports and posters of the 1920s, symbol and theme analysis posters, project map analyses, character portfolios, a timeline of events, and several literary analysis podcast series! 📚

As the 2nd graders wrapped up their reading unit about pollinators, we had some special guests come to the classroom. Thank you to the Hartman family for taking time to bring in some of their honeybees to show the class. The plexiglass hive allowed students to see all sorts of activity. We spotted the queen laying eggs, a bee hatching, several drone cells, and a queen cell forming.
