We are excited to announce that the Paxton Tiger Branch of Western Nebraska Bank will be open again this fall! Last year 35 students participated saving a total of $1,088 collectively! Congratulations to your savers and we look forward to helping them save more again this year! Our first savings day will be Friday, October 6th and then weekly after that. If your student would like to deposit into their very own savings account and receive incentives, they will need to bring cash, coin or a check made out to them each Friday. They also need the attached parent consent form signed and returned to the school office by next Friday. If you completed this form previously you do not need to do it again. We look forward to helping your children learn to save!

Mr. Uden's Computer Science class made aluminum foil boats and tested them to determine how many pennies they could hold before sinking. This was an introductory lesson of collaboration and problem solving skills while teaching the importance of specific instructions. The students did two rounds of writing directions and creating boats with the winning boat holding 16 pennies before sinking. This project helped the students to start thinking about how clear and specific the instructions need to be in a computer program for the program to operate as intended.
