Dear Students and Parents,
The 23-24 Student Handbooks and Activity Handbooks are on the school district website. www.paxtonschools.org. Please note changes to the Student Cell Phone and Other Electronic Devices Policy (6025) on page 18. This policy was adopted by the School Board and will be in effect this school year.
Please note:
1. Students in grades 9-12 may use cell phones or other electronic devices on school grounds ONLY before and after school, during lunch and during passing time between classes so long as they do not create a distraction or a disruption. During class time, students will place their phones in each classroom’s designated cell phone area.
2. Students in grades PreK-8 are not allowed to use cell phones and other personal smart devices during the school day. Phones must be turned off and left in lockers or at home.
3. Students will not be allowed to wear headphones during the day unless they are specific for that class period. Teachers will provide headphones for students if they are needed for class instruction.
4. Students who violate this policy or other school rules will have their cell phones or electronic devices confiscated immediately.
Please contact the school with any questions pertaining to this policy or any handbook questions. Policy 6025 can be accessed here https://5il.co/20qqr

Dear Tiger Nation, Construction has begun on the new Multi Purpose Room. We are excited to get this project started and appreciate your patience when using the facility over the next few months. The Paxton Consolidated Schools Foundation is participating in the Keith County Big Give June 1st thru 15th. This year, donations will be used to purchase new furniture for the school library. The current furniture is over 20 years old and is no longer user friendly, especially for the elementary and middle school students.
Along with furnishing the library, the Paxton Consolidated Schools Foundation will also continue to fund teachers grants, scholarships, and campus improvements throughout the 2023-2024 school year.
Congrats to Jacob who finished in 11th place at State Golf. Great job by Ethan as well in his 1st State Golf meet.
