6th grade science is learning about sensory receptors. Today we tasted mystery solutions on different parts of our tongue and guessed the flavor. As you can see by the expressions, some flavors brought on quite a reaction.

The FACS class worked on one final surprise project with the fun and energetic kindergarten class. It’s been a great cooperative learning year for both classes.

Track meets for the upcoming week include the JH traveling to Arnold for the Brady JH Invite. The high school team will travel to Dalton on Friday for the Leyton Invite.
The Best in the Midwest track meet will take place Tuesday, May 2nd in Sutherland. Currently, both boys and girls 4 x 8 relay teams and Rylin in the 800m will be competing in the meet.

Miss Emily from Nebraska Farm Bureau came for a final Ag in the Classroom visit today. We learned all about beef cows and dairy cows and what products we get from each kind of cow.
A big thanks to Miss Emily for coming into our classroom several times this semester to help us learn more about agriculture in Nebraska!

Tiger track teams competed well at todays RPAC track meet. Girls finished in 7th place and the boys finished in 6th place.

The Tiger golf and track teams compete in their respective RPAC competitions today. The golfers tee off in Alma while the track team heads to Dundy Co. Stratton. Good luck to both Tiger squads!
Mrs. Schutz visited the 6th grade during science class today to talk about bees and beekeeping which her father did as a hobby. She shared a video with the students of her father explaining the process of collecting honey. Thank you Mrs. Schutz!
