Black Out Cancer Fundraiser - At the Paxton tournament on December 20, participating teams including Mullen, Paxton, Garden County, and Maywood-Hayes Center, are going to have a Black Out Cancer Fundraiser tournament. The teams will wear their Black Out Cancer shirts and proceeds will go to cancer research or to someone in the community. Black Out Cancer has raised $15,000 for the fight against cancer in the past two years with the help of high schools from across the state. We want you to join the fight against cancer.
How It Works
Participating teams and their fans wear the same Black Out Cancer shirts during basketball warm ups and sell the shirts to their fans. It is very similar to a “Pink Out” in volleyball, but schools from across the state wear the shirts on the same week. This year the Black Out Cancer week will be from Monday, December 17th through Saturday, December 22nd.
100% of the proceeds will be donated to the fight against cancer. This is a 100% volunteer effort by Adam Stolzer and Chase Hoffschneider.
Shirts are sold and the donations go towards fighting cancer. Donations will be given to the University of Nebraska Medical Center for Cancer Research or the donations will be given to someone who is battling Cancer.
How do shirt sales work?
Shirt sales will close on Friday, December 7th.
Online Order Form: http://www.mrbtees.com/copy-of-black-out-cancer-shirts
All T-Shirts will be delivered to Paxton Schools on December 17 and sent home with your student.
Why do we do this?
Cancer affects everyone in Nebraska. It is impossible for someone to not know an individual who has been directly affected by cancer. We want to raise funds to fight this horrible disease and show cancer patients and their families across our great state that not only their community supports them, but all of Nebraska.
I hope you decide to join our fight against Cancer.
If you have any questions, please contact the school or you can email Chase at BlackOutCancerNE@gmail.com
