The Paxton FFA livestock judging team had a good day in Valentine Livestock Judging. As a team we wound up 7th and alternates to state convention as a team, missing out by only 7 points.
Individually:
Hadleigh Kramer led the way with an 8th place individual finish and a purple ribbon
Reece Glinn got int he top 10 (10th place) and a purple ribbon
Mavrik McConnell Red ribbon
Landon Drews White ribbon
Cayla Peterson and Eden Villa also competed but did not ribbon.

English II students traveled to the Merryman Performing Arts Center in Kearney to see a powerful live performance of To Kill a Mockingbird, presented by the Crane River Theater Company.
The classic novel addresses profound themes such as standing up in the face of adversity, coming of age, and innocence. Experiencing the story on stage deepened students’ understanding of these themes, which will certainly enrich their reading and analysis in class.
Students were also given the opportunity to engage in a talk-back panel with the actors, who discussed the importance and lasting impact of telling this story. This experience brought the novel to life, reinforcing valuable lessons of empathy and justice.
